The election is over and the votes have been counted. The candidates worked extremely hard over the campaign period and presented their issues and conducted themselves admirably. Thanks, also, is given to all the supporters who worked hard for the candidates. Congratulations to Senator Phillip Puckett, Gerald Arrington Commonwealth’s Attorney and Bill Keene County Treasurer. Congratulations also go out to Trey Adkins Knox district supervisor, Carroll Branham North Grundy district supervisor, William P. Harris Hurricane district supervisor and Steve O’Quinn Prater district supervisor.

To those that ran a hard fought campaign against great odds and came up short in the votes, we wish you well and your efforts were greatly appreciated. Much success in the future to Vern Presley, Jay Rife, Tim Potter, Frankie Landreth and Berlin Viars.

This Tuesday, November 8th, is election day. The voting polls will open at 6am and will close at 7pm. TOGETHER we will be successful and elect our candidates. Please go out to your voting poles and vote Tuesday for the following candidates:
Senator Phillip Puckett for Va. Senate, Vern Presley for Va. House of Delegates, Gerald Arrington for Commonwealth’s Attorney, Bill Keene for Treasurer, Tim Potter for Sheriff, Jay Rife for Commissioner of Revenue.
